They hand you a million euros and you have to decide how to invest it. You have two options - you have to split it across two different bets. And the bets are on artificial intelligence.
Bet one: AI close to the person
The first is agents as browsers, as personal assistants, as something that generally lives on your computer as software - your digital twin, your assistant, your something, your twin - and it does things on your behalf and for you. This is the vision of Claude Code, the vision of skills, the vision of the CLIs, the vision where the MCP protocol isn’t needed. It’s the vision of whoever sees artificial intelligence as something close to the person.
Bet two: AI as a networked service
The other vision is that of intelligence as a service, as an endpoint, as something that sits on the network and that you call to have your requests fulfilled. So in the first case, the AI is a bit more like what a browser was - a navigator of data. In the second vision, the AI is closer to what a website was: something you reach that’s exposed on the network.
So you’ve got a million in hand. And it’s not allowed to say “half and half” - don’t be wishy-washy about it or I’ll get annoyed. Make a choice in life. So take a side, and above all tell me why. Where are you investing this million?
